My childhood was spent in Kadoka, South Dakota, where I graduated high school in 2006. I went on to earn my undergraduate degree in instrumental music education from Black Hills State University in Spearfish in 2011. Upon completion of my degree, I married my husband Bryant Miller and we made our home in Gillette. I have taught at multiple schools throughout the district in my teaching career, but am happy to be where I am now. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with the local community band and the Big Horn Big Band. I also enjoy outdoor activities (biking, hiking, swimming) as well as traveling. I am currently pursuing my masters degree in music education through Aberdeen, South Dakota, and will be finished in December 2015.
Although not a native, I have lived in Wyoming since the age of 10, graduating from High School in Saratoga. I attended the University of Wyoming, receiving a Bachelor's in Music Education. Since moving to Gillette to teach, I have been active in various musical groups, including the Powder River Symphony and the Gillette Chamber Singers. I have traveled with the Chamber Singers to Europe several times, including England, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Scotland and Switzerland.
